Britain’s accountancy watchdog has opened an investigation into KPMG’s audit of the accounts of aero-engine maker Rolls-Royce. The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) will probe the accountancy giant’s oversight of Rolls-Royce’s financial statements covering four years.
