Waste Management giants, Zoomlion Ghana Limited has hinted that it will soon outdoor its chip embedded waste collection bins to make it easier for the collection of levies.
One major challenge facing waste management operators in the country is the collection of fees from its customers.
Whiles some meet the absence of their customers, others are abused before they are given monies for services rendered.
Due to this challenge and its attendant problems, Zoomlion Ghana Limited has promised to make the chip embedded waste collection bins to save the situation.
Public Relations Officer of Zoomlion, Mr. Robert Coleman in an exclusive interview disclosed to mynewsgh.com that the chip will be connected to the main system at the company’s head office where all data will be collected.
“The problems associated with taking levies from customers i not peculiar to Zoomlion alone, almost all waste management companies in Ghana are faced with the situation. We are coming out with this ingenious method to improve services and enhance revenue collection”, he revealed.
He said it is about time the company went scientific and embraced new technologies to improve upon its service to the country.
Expressing disappointment about how some people use the waste collection bins Mr. Coleman said some people use the bins as laundry baskets whiles others keep food stuffs in them indicating that it is worrying since they are not being used for the intended purpose.
“It shock you that some even use our bins to store water or foodstuffs rather than for waste collection. The latest scientific measure when outdoored will address these problems because the trucks will also be configured.
