Young men in the Upper East Region have been cautioned not to ride motor bikes too close to polling stations on the day of election.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Solomon Adjei, the Chairman of the Bolgatanga Municipal Security Council (MUSEC), who made the call at a training programme in Bolgatanga for stakeholders in politics, also called on vehicular drivers to avoid parking their vehicles too close to the polling stations.
He also cautioned the general public to be mindful of criminals who might capitalize on the election excitement to snatch or steal properties particularly motorbikes.
ASP Adjei appealed to all motorists in the Region to be careful and avoid acts that could cause accidents.
The participants included leaders of the various political parties in the Municipality, Security Agencies and the media.
They agreed to create awareness among their party supporters on the need to desist from destroying political bill boards and posters of their rivals and avoid wearing party T-shirts to vote during Election Day.
