Finance Minister-designate, Kenneth Ofori-Atta has assured Ghanaians that under the new NPP government, the true state of the economy will not be hidden. Ofori-Atta said this while speaking to Joy News Flag Staff House correspondent on Tuesday. According to him, “we need to know the truth because it is because of the truth that Ghanaians voted for the NPP”.
President Nana Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, January 10 released a 13-man list designated for different ministerial posts. The ministers-designates will fully take up their posts after they are approved by the parliament.

Ofori-Atta who is one of the appointed ministers expressed confidence in the government of the New Patriotic Party to bring about a total turn around of Ghana’s economy as they promised prior to the elections.
Although he admitted that the task will not be an easy one, Ofori-Atta tells Ghanaians that he still believes that “we can get value for money” and so will not be discouraged by the difficulty of getting it done.
Kenneth Ofori Atta is a 58-year-old Ghanaian Economist and an Investment Banker who co-founded Databank in Ghana in 1990. Ken has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Columbia University (1984) and an MBA from the Yale University School of Management in 1988.
Ofori-Atta is one of the most respected CEO’s in Ghana. He serves as a director for numerous companies and Board Member to various companies. Some of these companies include; Enterprise Group Ltd, Trust Bank Ltd of The Gambia, International Bank of Liberia and Acumen Fund.
Owing to his appointment as Finance Minister, he would be a member of the Economic Management Committee (EMC) headed by Dr. Bawumia, in order to make contributions to the improvement of the nation’s economy.
