Residents of Akyeremadi, near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, on Thursday morning arrested a woman they said was a flying witch that had crash-landed, according to a report by the Daily Guide.
The residents claimed the woman, 37, who gave her names as Gifty and Afia, fell from the sky at about 3:30am on a tape at a block factory in the area.
Some masons said they had heard a loud in the early hours of the morning and had rushed to find out what had happened.
They said they got there only to find a woman in a shiny dress lying on the tape with blood stains on her face.
According to them, the woman quickly ran to hide in the house of one Emmanuel Ofori. They said they were shocked to find her in an obscure corner of the house virtually naked.
News that a “witch” had been caught attracted many residents who tried to catch a glimpse of her.
According to the Daily Guide report, the woman told the residents that she lived at Buokrom Estate in Kumasi and that flying to Kwanwoma when she experienced electric shock at Akyeremadi, which brought her down.
