Wiyaala and Yaa Pono will join this year’s Batakari Night at the Kumasi cultural center scheduled for Saturday, February 4th.
After touring many European festivals, King Ayisoba, the widely acclaimed “King of Kologo Music” brings the 4th edition of the Batakari Night to the kumasi cultural center.
King Ayisoba is currently one of the most popular Ghanaian artists abroad. The Batakari Night will feature some of Ghana’s leading Kologo players.
The Batakari night is aimed at promoting our local batakari and as result create employment for the youth.
He told otecfmghana that the Batakari night is a night of fantastic music, performances and an avenue to market and showcase some of the finest batakaris ever made.
King Ayisoba encouraged everyone to wear Batakari when attending the show to be able to showcase the beauty of products made in Ghana.
According to him many people in African and european countries have expressed their admiration for the hand-woven batakari and as such should be promoted well to generate income for Ghanaians.
