Newly elected Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle Constituency Dr Zanetor Rawlings has revealed what her father, the former President of the country, told her after clinching victory in the December 7 parliamentary elections.
The first daughter of the former first family polled 33,609 votes to beat closest contender and popular lawyer Philip Addison of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the polls.
On Monday, December 12, the young Member of Parliament-elect took to Twitter to reveal what Flt. Lt (Rtd) Jerry John Rawlings told her after the victory.
“Daddy said: ‘I’m proud of you Zee. Your constituents are looking up to you. Serve them with truthfulness, humility and dedication’.”

Dr Rawlings is scheduled to be sworn into the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic on January 7, 2017.
She will be one of the many fresh faces in the House.
