Spokesperson for the NDC campaign Joyce Mogtari Bawa says the party is ready to give the main opposition party a dose of their own medicine if they are pushed to the wall.
In reaction to assertions that the NDC campaign lacks a message and focused on the New Patriotic Party’s Nana Akufo Addo, Mogtari said the President is only responding to attacks first directed at him by the NPP.
“Who threw the first blood? Were they not the people who described the president as incompetent? Were they not the people who described the late Professor Atta Mills as incompetent? I will say it here; we are ready to match them boot for boot if they call us names”.
She added that, “we as a party have a huge message for Ghanaians and that message is the huge investments in infrastructural development which can be seen across the country.
The deputy Transport minister expressed optimism about the campaign tour of the eastern part of the Northern region, adding that it will lead the NDC to a one touch victory in the December polls.
“You have been with us from day one and you have seen the enthusiastic supporters coming out to meet us. This is an indication that the people are ready to give us their mandate”.
President John Mahama has been touring the eastern part of the Northern region since Monday.
He ended the tour on Thursday with visits to Salaga, Kpandai, Wulensi, Bimbilla, Saboba, Zabzugu, Tatale, Chereponi, Gushegu, and Nanton constituencies.
