Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur has urged voters in the Central region not to despair if the elections do not go in the favour of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Rather, he said they should appreciate the electoral process as a battle of ideas to get the mandate of the people.
“Election in this country will end on December 7, we will vote in 2020, 2024 and 2028 so it’s not a do or die affair. If it does not work out this time and you do your homework well, the citizens might vote you back” he stated.
The vice president while campaigning for peaceful elections in parts of the central region, he indicated that, election was is credibility, integrity and trust in the candidates and not about character assassination or inciting one group against another.
This notwithstanding, the vice president was confidence given the infrastructural developments projects undertaken by the Mahama-led government, victory will be one touch.
He admonished the youth to be bold and say no to any person or group of persons who would want to lure them to commit acts of lawlessness.
Mr. Kwesi Amissah-Arthur added that, it imperative for Ghanaians to strive to ensure peaceful elections.
