Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo has revealed a secret plot by the governing National Democratic Congress to resort to vile propaganda by spreading a number of falsehoods about him prior to the December 7 general elections.
He is therefore cautioning supporters of the NPP to be steadfast and not be moved when those false information are finally released.
Nana Akufo-Addo made the allegation at a grand rally on Sunday at the Accra International Trade Fair. He noted that the NDC is jittering because they foresee a defeat in the elections.
“These last 48 hours, all kinds of libelous and defamatory things are going to be said about me, my running mate, members of my party and my party.
“I am pleading with you, don’t pay any heed to any of that, it’s utter rubbish and lies and fabrication…”
Nana Akufo-Addo maintained that he has not “murdered anybody” nor “stolen from anyone” as he hints about the kind of propaganda about to be unleashed by his political opponents.
He however told the teeming crowd that he is unfazed by the plan to slander him and they should equally not be perturbed.
Nonetheless, he assured Ghanaians that he is capable of executing all promises he made to the electorate, emphasising that he would not lie to Ghanaians about things he cannot do.
