More than 500 people in Ho were on Thursday screened and treated for various ailments free of charge by Vodafone Ghana Foundation, under its “Healthfest” programme.
The beneficiaries, mainly women and children, were given medication and talk on preventive healthcare.
Mr Ebenezar Amankwah, Corporate Relations Manager, Vodafone told the Ghana News Agency that the event, done annually, was to offer opportunity to the less privileged to access healthcare at no cost.
“The motivation is doing good, no commercial strings attached,” he said.
Mr Amankwah said Vodafone was committed to bringing quality healthcare to the doorstep of the vulnerable.
He said Vodafone’s “healthline 255 and Vodafone Healthline TV” were a concerted effort at touching key sectors of the Ghanaian society.
