Bismark Agyapong a 35-year-old man who the police described as a notorious fraudster on their wanted list has finally been arrested.
He was arrested upon a tip-off by the Accra Central police unit and handed over to the Visa and Documentation Fraud Unit of the CID of the Ghana police service.
The police had been on the lookout for the suspect over a year now for allegedly defrauding his victims of various sums of money under the pretext of assisting them in securing visas, passports and other travel documents.
When Agyapong was arrested he had in his possession five passports bearing his photograph but different names in all of them.
The police gave the names in the passports which they have retrieved as Bismark Kwaku Agyapong, Asamoah Osafo, Evans Odoom, Richard Appiah Botah and Frank Brobbey Boadu.
DSP Seth Sewornu, said the unit had five different complaints against the suspect and were thus preparing him for court.
