The chief of staff Julius Debrah is optimistic “victory belongs to the NDC” come December 7, but has appealed to supporters to “finish hard.”
According to him, the NDC has gained traction ahead of its competitors mainly because of the achievements chalked and the character of the leader of the party, John Dramani Mahama.
Touring some constituencies in the Greater Accra region, he explained and informed the chiefs, opinion leaders, influential leaders and the people of the progress made under the leadership of Mahama, and what is expected of the NDC government between 2017-2021.
Mr. Debrah said Mahama is committed to create millions of jobs via the agricultural sector and creating an enabling atmosphere for the private sector to thrive. He said government will close the employment gap by empowering desirous individuals to establish their own companies, or expand their businesses through the EXIM bank of Ghana.
The chief of staff who has toured over six regions said he is convinced Mahama will secure a one touch victory, but there is the “dire need for the rank and file of the NDC to step up their efforts to make the victory a sweet one.”
Addressing thousands of party supporters after a 12km walk for victory through the principal streets of Nungua in the Ledzokuku constituency, the Chief of Staff, said though President Mahama and the NDC would win a comprehensive victory there is the need for each and every supporter and sympathizer to intensify the house to house campaign and speak up on the achievements of the NDC under Mahama.
Thousands of party people joined the Ledzokuku ‘Walk 4 Victory’ including the Member of Parliament for the area Sena Okiti Duah, Greater Accra regional chairman Ade Coker, regional campaign coordinator Sylvester Mensah, Presidential Staffer Mawusi Dzirasa, Communication officer for the NDC Solomon Nkansah, former youth organizer Ludwig Hlordze, national, regional, constituency, branch and ward executives all joined the rendezvous to climax the Chief of Staff’s Greater Accra tour.
Mr. Debrah had already toured the Upper West, Brong Ahafo, Volta, Eastern, and Ashanti regions.
