Veteran actor Emmanuel Armah battling for his life; gets Tourism Minister-designate’s visit
Ghanaian veteran actor Emmanuel Armah is currently on admission at the 37 Military Hospital receiving treatment.
Information gathered by 3news.com indicates that Emmanuel Armah returned from the US a few weeks ago and has since been battling an unknown illness.
The Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Catherine Abelema Afeku together with some actors visited Emmanuel Armah Thursday afternoon at the hospital.
Actors who joined the trip included Fred Amugi, Oscar Provencal, Joseph Ofei, Sammy Forson, Irene Opare, Eunice Banini, Akorfa Edjeani Asiedu, Luckie Lawson, Maame Kakraba Smith of Efiewura fame among others.
They donated an undisclosed amount to him. Mrs Afeku in an interview with Onua FM said: “We are praying God will heal him to be able to come back into acting again to entertain Ghana”.
“We need to support our actors, we have to cherish our own, I’m happy I came, we will continue to pray for him, we will pray for the wife so that God will grant her the strength to be able to take care of him and we are solely behind her.”
Emmanuel Armah has featured in movies like Every Woman Wants Me, Fresh Trouble, Beyond Love, THINGS MEN DO, Shadows from the Past among others.
