Vice-President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has called on supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tarkwa Nsueam, to intensify their campaign to win the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on December 7 elections.
He said even though the current Member of Parliament (MP), Mrs Gifty Eugenia Kusi, had occupied the seat for 16 years the constituency had not seen any development projects.
Addressing NDC supporters at the forecourt of the Tarkwa Community Centre, the Vice President said Mr Seth Kwame Dzokoto, the Parliamentary Candidate was the best person to represent their interest in Parliament.
Mr Amissah-Arthur explained that with the unprecedented economic achievement of the John Mahama administration made it eligible for voters to retain the NDC government and elect Mr Dzokoto as their MP.
He asked NDC supporters to rally behind the Parliamentary candidate to increase the Party’s vote as well.
Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, NDC Director of Elections, indicated that the government had put in the necessary measures to revive the Aboso factory in the Prestea Huni/Valley in the Western Region.
This he said would create employment for the youth in the Prestea Huni/Valley District and its environs in the Region.
The Vice President was accompanied by Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister of Energy and MP for Ellembele, Mr Fritz Frederic Baffour, MP for Ablekuma South, and some regional executives of the Party.
