A one-and-half-year-old baby was burnt to ashes on Wednesday afternoon when fire razed down a two-storey building at Palm Wine Junction in Labadi in Accra.
According to the father, the baby, identified as Christian, fell asleep by his side while he played cards with friends outside the building.
He said he then took the baby indoors to let him sleep comfortably.
Minutes later, he said he was alerted that the building was on fire.
Several attempts to save the baby who was fast asleep in one of the rooms proved futile.
