The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) has awarded TV3’s broadcast journalist, Wendy Laryea, for her mentorship role of empowering girls and women.
She played a key role in the PPAG’s Sisters Mentorship Programme, which ultimately helped in reducing teenage pregnancy and early marriage among women in and out of school.
This is the second award won by Wendy in just over four months having picked up an award at the 20th GJA Journalist award in August.
The PPAG’s Sisters Mentorship Programme was designed to educate adolescent girls between the ages of 10 and 19 years on the reduction of child marriage and teenage pregnancy rate in the country.
Other guests for the programme included ex President Jerry John Rawlings, Becca, AK Songstress and Portia Gabor
