TV3 Network Limited, Ghana’s leading free to air television station, has once again won another enviable award for pioneering privately owned and managed television broadcasting in Ghana.
The station was awarded for being a leader in information dissemination for socio-economic development during the Ghana Development Awards 2016.
The event themed, “Recognizing the Effort to Make Ghana Great” was held last Friday at the plush La Palm Beach Hotel in Accra. It was organized by the Business Executive Magazine.
The citation accompanying TV3’s award read: “Pioneering privately owned and managed television broadcasting in Ghana thus paving the way for the genre to grow into the leading form of information dissemination for socio-economic developments to the general public.”
Institutions that received awards aside TV3 included Vodafone, Unilever and Glico.
The evening also saw the inaugural edition of the Environment Health And Safety Awards which recognizes institutions and enterprises that have paid exemplary attention to environmental issues in their operations.
