Trump’s Victory Is Such A Disappointment – Mrs. Nduom

Mrs. Yvonne Nduom, wife of PPP flagbearer Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has expressed disappointment with Donald Trump’s election as President of the United States of America.

“On the victory, I was disappointed he won because I believe in the Democratic system…I wanted Hillary to win because I believe she would have pushed the women agenda.

“I wanted Hillary Clinton to be the first [woman] President…because I’m a woman and I identify with her,” Mrs. Nduom told host of Morning Starr Nii Arday Clegg Friday.

The New York based business mogul beat Hillary Clinton of the Democratic Party to win the US presidential election on the ticket of the Republican Party.

Trump’s victory which has sent shockwaves across the world has also sparked violent protests across several cities in the US.

Demonstrations occurred from Portland, Oregon, to Chicago, to New York and parts in between and each typically drew a few hundred people, less than the thousands that gathered in various protests that surged after it became clear Trump had won Tuesday’s election.

Late Thursday night, Trump went on Twitter to take on the protesters. Trump tweets: “Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!”

In Portland Thursday night hundreds of people marched throughout the city as protests turned violent, with people smashing store windows and lighting off firecrackers.

Police declared the protests a riot, said there were people with baseball bats in the crowd and told people via loudspeaker to move on.
