A 62-year-old chainsaw operator met his untimely death when a tree he was felling in a cocoa farm crushed him.
The deceased, Padmore Amponsah also known as Kofi Kyere died on the stop after the tree pinned him down and the chainsaw cut his head into two.
This unfortunate incident occurred at Adansi Anhwiaso in the Ashani region.
The Asona Abusuapanin of Adansi Anhwiaso, Nana Osei Bonsu Tuatuo Barimah confirmed this unfortunate incident to Adom News.
He said the tree, according to preliminary investigations could not fall because it got entangled and hung on a number of smaller trees.
So while clearing the way for the tree to fall, the deceased miscalculated and the tree fell unexpectedly, trapping crushing him in the process.
Nana Osei Bonsu Tuatuo Barimah indicated that, the chainsaw he was holding which was still operational fell by his head cutting it into two.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased had been deposited at the New Edubiase government hospital morgue for autopsy.
