Business men and women who sell crafted artifacts at the Accra Arts Center in Accra have accused politicians in the country of gradually collapsing their businesses as a result of their continuous comments meant to incite violence in the country.
Some traders who spoke to Adom News said foreigners are their target as far as their businesses are concerned because they patronize it the more.
But they said foreigners are not coming into the country any more due to fear of being trapped in the country in case of any violence as a result of unsavory comments by politicians.
They said the few foreigners who are also likely to purchase their goods are also leaving the country, a situation they describe as very worrying since the development is collapsing their businesses.
“The foreigners in the country are leaving for their countries. They fear the outcome of the declaration of the presidential result might lead to civil war.
“Specifically, if they listen to the speeches of politicians as they mount stages to campaign for their respective parties, they fear for their lives. We are losing profit more than we gain, and that makes business difficult for us” one trader stated.
