Ghanaian Hiplife artist Mzbel has revealed that dancehall act, Shatta Wale was her top artiste who made her 2016 year a memorable one.
“Honestly I’ll say the only musician who rocked me was Shatta Wale, but unfortunately he wasn’t nominated in this year’s VGMA.”
Speaking with host of ‘Aben Wo Ha‘ show on Kasapa 102.5FM, Gatuso, the ‘legelege’ singer explained that Shatta Wale dominated in 2016 with several hits.
Shatta Wale has endeared himself to many with his attention-catching commandeering stage performance.
Mzbel known privately as Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah endorsed the candidature Former president, John Mahama and the then ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
She wasn’t bothered about attacks on her by supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) hence released two songs, endorsing Mr. Mahama’s second term bid.
Mzbel is on record to have written and performed a song for the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) which she has said was appreciated by the power company.
Known for her controversial traits Mzbel has always played controversial music, and followed it up with controversial comments that are sure to get her fans talking.
She believes however that as an artiste one must look unique. She has always had the ambition to be a source of inspiration to the under privileged and to be able to help the down trodden.
