A group of Junior High School students from the Tema Parents’ Association School have donated assorted items to support Citi FM’s Help a Christmas Child project.
On Boxing Day, the station with help from its listeners, will organise an outreach and party for underprivileged children at Manchie and Korleman, two adjoining communities located in the Ga West Municipality, off the Accra-Nsawam road.
The JHS students, making the donation under the umbrella of a club called the Peerless Group, are made up of pupils within the age ranges of 14 to 15-years.
One of the students, 14 year-old Emefa, spoke on behalf of the club saying, “we believe Christmas is not a time for only the privileged to enjoy but the less privileged as well, so we took it as an opportunity to appreciate God for a successful year by giving a few things to the less privileged in society,”
The donations included 2 bags of rice 24 cartons of soft drinks, 16 cartons of biscuits, a gallon of oil, some clothing, confectionaries and a pair of sandals.
