All taxi drivers within the Hohoe township in the Volta region have declared an indefinite strike leaving passengers stranded.
Their action is due to the deplorable state of the roads which the drivers claim is draining their resources.
In an interview with Adom News, some of the drivers said the huge potholes on the road have made the difficult for them to ply the route.
They noted that countless pleas on the government to repair to gaping potholes have not yielded any results.
The taxi drivers have therefore vowed to withdraw their services until the road is fixed.
Some passengers who had no idea of the strike said they were compiled to walk to work when the drivers refused to work.
They hoped the drivers will call off their strike to ensure smooth transportation to their various destinations.
