Information reaching GhanaStar.com indicates the Main Campus of the Takoradi Polytechnic has been disconnected from the National Grid by the Electricity Company of Ghana due to outstanding bill arrears running into hundreds of Ghana cedis.
This is part of the disconnection exercise by the electricity company of Ghana to clamp down on institutions that default on their bills.
The disconnection which was done on Monday, June, 27, 2016 has affected every part of the Campus including the Main administration block and all the Various departments on campus with exception of the two main halls of residence and the staff bungalows which use Prepaid meters
