New owners of Alisa Hotel, Swiss Spirit International have expressed their resolve to introduce world class service despite stiff competition in the hotel and hospitality industry.
The Greater Accra region over the past few years have seen some international hotels merge with local ones or build new ones in the country.
Speaking to Citi Business News in an interview, the Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Spirit International, Henri Kennedie explained that the new management after taking over the hotel about six months ago has began training the workers on world class delivery.
According to Mr. Kennedie, Swiss International has the best hotel hospitality experience in the world, hence will inject such professionalism in Alisa.
“We are bringing above the line concept. It’s a major concept. We are also bringing our conference concept and we are bringing below the line mentality change and we are bringing in change in the delivery of hospitality. It will not happen overnight but you have to change,” he said.
He added that the old practice where hotels detached themselves from the society they operate is unproductive.
Mr. Kennedie explained that hotels must include their environs into their growth and development plan to solicit the support of the communities they operate.
“Hotels need to be more part of society, they must not think that it only the guys who arrive at the airport who are our guests. We are part of society, we are part of North Ridge; we are part of Accra that means that we need to participate with Accra residents who are also our guests,” he said.
