The Supreme Court has ordered Ghana’s Electoral Commission to extend the nomination period of this year’s December 7 general elections to Tuesday, November 8, to allow all the disqualified presidential nominees the opportunity to correct all errors on their nomination forms.
In a unanimous decision, the seven-member panel also ordered a stay of all cases at the various High Courts challenging the disqualification of the affected presidential nominees.
