An aggrieved student of the Opoku Oware Senior High School who allegedly had his mobile phone stolen has ‘summoned the soul’ of the person who stole his phone to the popular Kliko Shrine in the Volta Region
The student has given the said thief a 7-day ultimatum to return his phone or risk execution by the famous deity.
A picture making rounds on social media has the student summoning the soul ‘wrongful owner’ of the handset to the well-known shrine.
Interestingly the summon did not end with the alleged thief but also caution was sent out to students or individuals with the slightest idea about the lost handset to ‘purge’ themselves of the same disaster that will befall the alleged thief by coming forth with information about the lost phone.
The note which seem to have been posted on the notice board of the school reads;
“A student or individual who went to Opoku Ware B23 to pick a mobile phone which does not belong to him. You are by this notice informed that your soul has been summoned at Kliko Shrine in the Volta region ….”
The Kliko shrine, Nogokpo shrine and Antoa shrine that had some of its golden ornaments stolen somewhere last year are some of the most popular shrines in the country.
They have become resorts for individuals who appear not have utmost trust in the country’s judicial system and also feel that the smaller gods punish wrongdoers deservedly
