Founder and General Overseer of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has rubbished claims that he is a card bearing member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, the fact that most of his prophecies favours the NPP does not make him an NPP member. He argued that he only makes known to the public what God reveals to him.
“Why do people always want make me look bad when I prophecy on NPP and Nana Akufo Addo? In fact, when you come to my church today, 80 percent of my members are NDC and I like all of them and so I don’t have any favorite political party. I tell it how it is,” he said.
Rev. Owusu Bempah was questioned Wednesday afternoon over comments he made suggesting some persons were planning to assassinate flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The controversial man of God said in a radio interview that plans had been hatched by a group of persons to kill the NPP flagbearer at a campaign rally in the Volta Region of Ghana, the stronghold of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He however failed to name the persons who hatched the said plot.
Rev Owusu-Bempah was subsequently invited for questioning by the Criminal Investigations Department ((CID) to assist with investigations into the prophecy.
He however appealed to members of the governing NDC to stop trailing him.
“The NDC should stop trailing me. They should stop contracting people to follow me because I will not stop talking. I don’t hate any political party,” he said on Accra based Okay fm.
