Chief Dele Momodu has advised Gabby Otchere-Darko, a staunch member of New Patriotic Party to “stop attacking imaginary enemies” of the party and the President-elect – but rather focus on reducing the “giddiness of the party’s victory and concentrate on managing high expectations of Ghanaians”.
Rather than reduce the giddiness of your victory and concentrate on managing expectations, you’re busy attacking imaginary enemies! https://t.co/Fdeuk5Pjw3— Dele Momodu Ovation (@DeleMomodu) December 14, 2016
His reaction came at the back drop of Gabby’s post on tweeter yesterday – insinuating Dele Momodu must have been paid a hefty sum of money to have supported the candidacy of President John Mahama; adding that it is “nauseating” to watch him (Dele Momodu) tell Ghanaians who to vote for.
Perhaps, nothing was as nauseating as my old pal Dele of Ovation telling Ghanaians who to vote for… I’m sure he was well paid.— Gabby Otchere-Darko (@GabbyDarko) December 14, 2016
In his reaction to Gabby’s post, Dele Momodu asked rhetorically – if it was a crime to support a presidential candidate, most especially without having to malign an opponent’s image with inflammatory remarks, as he (Gabby) has done to President Mahama:
“Was it a crime to support a candidate you maligned endlessly and insulted maliciously, in the name of politics without ever attacking yours?”
Dele Momodu also asked Gabby what his sins are for him (Gabby) to have woke up as early as 4:06 am purposely to post such a tweet about him: “Did I appear to you in your sleep my dear Gabby? He asked.
Observers of the war of words between Dele Momodu and Gabby could not help but drop comments as well.
A commentator with twitter handle I AM FOR GHANA says:
@GabbyDarko Learn to be gracious both in victory and defeat. Your tweet serves no useful purpose @DeleMomodu spoke his mind, its not a crime.— I AM FOR GHANA (@IAMFORMAHAMA) December 14, 2016
Another twitter user with twitter handle Babs Anims reacted thus: @GabbyDarko Nobody can tell you who to vote for. @DeleMomodu only promoted a candidate he believes in. That’s why adults only vote— Babs Anims (@tundeanimasawun) December 14, 2016
