This is in line with the talented musician’s upcoming initiatives, “The Livingstone Foundation” which is expected to be launched later this year.

The “Baafira” hitmaker used the opportunity to address students and staff of his alma mater and expressed his gratitude for their kindness during his time at the school.

“I’m grateful that I went through Tema Methodist Day Senior High School, passed my courses and moved on and aside the academic, I nurtured my music talent.

“Not to say you should forget school, you need to take your studies seriously because not everyone is privileged to have parents or guardians to pay their schools fees.”

He went on to narrate his real life experience about how he struggled to pay his fees during his school days.

“I had to struggle to get my fees paid at some point, so if you have people who support you with school fees, you should take that seriously and I’m sure these things I am saying is not new to some of you, but I am sharing my story with you to remind you that many people have gone through same situation as you, but it can only get better.

“The likes of me and Sarkodie were here. Every level of life is a struggle, but how you come out of the situation is what elevates you and makes you a winner,” Stonebwoy said.

Stonebwoy also took time to reflect on his fatal motor accident that happened 15 years ago on January 19, a day before his Mum’s birthday.

“Once upon a time I was a student who used to walk this campus with a stiff knee but God being so good, I was able to rise above situations and got it fixed properly now.

“A few days ago, I visited a brother who had an accident too but unfortunately he got amputated and that could have been my story but I didn’t go through that and I am grateful.

“Trust me, it was not my intention to have that news of me visiting them circulate in the media because their situation isn’t a pleasant one because I have been there before and know how it feels, but situations have made it so.

“My name is Livingstone meaning a ‘LIVING STONE’ so despite the circumstances we find ourselves in, we try to outlive it. Circumstances should not limit you.”

The Headmistress of the School, Mrs. Ellen Asare Pepra was highly delighted about the international music superstar’s gesture and commended him for his generosity.

“Not very often do we see such things happen to underprivileged students and for Stonebwoy to come to their aid is an act worthy of praise.

“We wish Stonebwoy all the best in all his endeavours. We know he will achieve more and rise above the skies.”

Stonebwoy also donated some hard copies of his publicist, Elorm Beenie’s new novel “Love Myelitis” to the sponsored students.
