Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah believes the obstinate Sulley Ali Muntari still has a lot in him to offer the Black Stars on the field on play.
Muntari wrote to the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday to apologize for his violent behaviour in Brazil where he attacked and beat up a then team official Moses Armah.
It has taken two years for the Al Ittihad Jeddah star to say sorry for his behaviour.
Public opinion is against Muntari to be recalled into the team as many have questioned the genuineness of his latest action but Appiah who is expecting Muntari to play a role in his unity match, claims Muntari has done the right thing by apologising and should be considered for a place in the Black Stars.
“I am very happy for Sulley because he finally came out to apologise to the people of Ghana. I think he is still learning about how to be a repented person and to apologise when you know you are at fault.
I think he still has a lot of football in him and can really help anytime he is called upon into the Black Stars.
I am expecting him for the Unity match tonight and i will hug him to congratulate him.” he told Nhyira FM
Sulley Muntari might be featured in the Unity match for the World XI against the Black Stars on June 11.
