A well-attended and most exquisite fashion show dubbed: ‘Rhythms on da Runway,’ took place over the weekend at the State Banquet Hall in Accra.
The annual fashion event brought out great fashion designers from Ghana and the rest of the world.
International events host, fashion designer, broadcast journalist and Pan-Africanist, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), with his clothing line, NINETEEN57, stole the show on the night.
Some of the designers who exhibited their tailored skills when it came to their apparel included KOD’s wife, Ophelia Crossland Designs, Stylist for VEEP’s wife, Velma Asaccesories, Abrantie amongst great Ghanaian designers.
The night witnessed clothing styles by the various designers mixed-up with musical performances by favourite Ghanaian artistes such as Wutah, M. Anifest, Akwaboah, Sarkodie and Bisa K’Dei.
Also present was ‘King of the Street,’ Kwaw Kese.
He was one of the models who wore an outfit designed by KOD, much to the elation of the audience.
Other celebrities who served as models at the night were Coded, P. Y Addo Boateng, Akumaa Mama Zimbi and Benny Blanco.
Patrons were however, left disappointed as highlife duo, Wutah, did not perform as publicised.
