Stanbic Bank Ghana has debunked reports that suggested its staff was involved in a motor accident at Ewusiejoe, a farming community near Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region on Saturday.
The report as published by some sections of the media stated that Eight people lost their lives with 21 people in critical condition.
However, in a statement copied to Ghanaweb.com, Mr Mawuko Afadzinu, Head, Marketing and Communication debunking the reporting said, “we wish to inform the general public that no staff of Stanbic Bank Ghana was involved in and has died as a result of the accident.”

We wish to inform the general public that no staff of Stanbic Bank Ghana was involved in and has died in a motor accident at Ewusiejoe, a farming community near Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region, as reported in sections of the media.
No bus of the bank was also involved in an accident in the said area. Indeed Stanbic Bank Ghana has no staff bus.
We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wish the injured a speedy recovery.
