Springboard Road Show has organized a mentorship programme for students and young people in Cape Coast to instill in them good leadership qualities to live exemplary lives.
The programme sponsored by telecommunications giant, Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN) was to give the participants the opportunity to understand the fundamental principles that bring about success.
Addressing the media during the programme in Cape Coast last week, the Executive Director of Springboard Road Show Foundation, Mrs Comfort Ocran explained that this year’s programme will encourage the youth to think about the next ten years and how to actualize specific plans they outline within that period.
She explained that they would have to think about their personal and career leadership as well as the impact they would have to make socio-politically within the period to contribute their quota to the development of the nation.
“We have realized that since the nation has not actualized what we need to do, we think that it is important that our young ones will start planning what they want to see in their nation and in their lives by playing a role in the development of the nation”, she stressed.
“If we want to see the nation go forward, we will have to ensure that individually we are accountable to ourselves for being ethical, for being people of integrity and for laying the foundation of the growth of our nation”, she added.
Mrs. Ocran disclosed that her foundation “hopes to touch base with 30,000 people by the end of the year and subsequently roll out a mentoring programme which hopes to touch about one million people through their various interventions in the next ten years”.
The Executive Director advised Ghanaians to help make the country better by working hard and invest in nation building to make Ghana the haven for other nationals.
