SPRINGBOARD Road Show Foundation in partnership with Legacy and Legacy with MTN Ghana has presented the 10th Annual Edition of its ever-popular motivational and personal development series of conferences known as the ‘Springboard 2017 Road Show.’
The Springboard Road Show is the foremost point of convergence and preparation of Ghana’s youth and a grooming point for emerging entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.
It is the only nationwide road show of its kind with overwhelming presence and significant impact in all ten regions of Ghana.
The 10th edition was held at the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) in the Western Region. It was on the theme: AGENDA 2027.
According to the organisers, the inspiration behind the Agenda 2027 is to groom one million young Ghanaians for personal and business leadership on the continent over the next decade.
That, he maintained, was also to coach 30,000 tertiary students, graduates and young entrepreneurs through regional events, community engagements and institutional outreaches to be guided to prepare a ten-year Continental Leadership Agenda in three thematic areas—professional, financial and social.
Speaking to GN media news team Dr. Mrs. Comfort Ocran said the concept was to help people have ideas and plan ahead by teaching how to start the year right and to be inspired by having deliberate ways to make plans.
She further explained that the road show serves as a channel to groom students and the youth as well as individuals to give them a challenge of building themselves.
Dr. Ocran noted that choices mustn’t be made because they are convenient but must be ethical.
“Ethical values can be impacted on the society through the youth and for this reason should be trained and groomed to better persons devoid of corruption relating to ministerial and political aspect of the society.”
She also revealed the new Ladies Entrepreneurship and Advocacy Development (LEAD), a mentoring programme for young women to prepare them for leadership positions, to express their voice and not to be intimidated because women make a lot of contribution to the society.”
Customer Relations Executive of MTN, Madam Jemima Kortei, also urged the youth to explore their leadership qualities and channel their strength to something the society desires.
She said the youth must remain positive with their thoughts and actions to always rise above the challenge.
