Recording artiste Ex-Doe fears the musical battle between rapper Yaa Pono and Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale could turn physical.
He told Dr. Pounds on Hitz FM, there might be the temptation to use a gun by anyone involved in the ‘fight.’
“If one gets angry and cannot win this lyrical fight, won’t he pull a gun? Won’t he go and fight with his squad? It is going to be deadly. I am really sad.”
Ex-Doe is known for his ‘beef’ with colleague artistes including former friend, Chicago and Reggie Rockstone.
“I regret beefing with Chicago it feels like we taught the kids something bad. The ‘beef’ doesn’t help the industry though it has brought about attention,” explained the ‘Maba‘ act.
“We were young when we started beefing but when you grow up you and leave the lifestyle, you will realise that even 2Pac and Biggie would have regretted it if they were alive. In their case, they lost their lives for doing that. We are lucky we are still alive.”
Rapper Yaa Pono is back with another diss song targeted at Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale. Titled ‘Gbee Naabu’ it sees Pono literally tear into Wale, reducing him to tatters.
The first one by the Tema-based artiste was ‘Noko’ where he boasts about how no one can attack or do anything to him.
The song is believed to be a response to Wale after the fall out arising from Pono’s inability to perform at a show in Cape Coast some two weeks ago.
Wale responded to the first song with the song ‘Say Fi’ where he questions the gender of the rapper and also use lots of unprintable words including suggesting he (Yaa Pono) was born as a result 0f rape.
