Elmina Sharks FC has donated some food items to the Tamale Children Home in the Northern Region of Ghana. The donation came off last Wednesday ahead of their clash with Bolga All Stars FC.
The donation, which was in line with the club’s core vision of assisting the vulnerable and the less-privileged in society, saw team officials together with some selected players thronging the school to show support.
Items donated include boxes of bottled water, soap, bags of rice, and toiletries.
Supervisor of the Home, Mrs. Augustina Quainoo, who received the products on behalf of management, thanked the team for their kind gesture.
She used the visit by the Fearsome Sharks to the region to plead with the NGOs and corporate bodies in the country to assist the school in nurturing and proper growth of the children.
“We really appreciate the love showed to the Home and it is our prayer that more of these benevolent gestures will follow,” she said.
Elmina Sharks will return to their favourite Nduom Sports Complex on Sunday to host West African Academy in week 11 of the Ghana Premier League.
