The event which was held at a location believed to be Akosua’s family residence in Accra was reportedly guarded by military men. The colour of the day which appeared to be white and red added much love and warmth to the atmosphere.
Ahead of the main ceremony, the bride threw a bachelorette party for her friends.
The occasion was graced by family members, friends and celebrities, with prominent persons such as actress Nana Ama McBrown, her husband Maxwell Mensah, and radio personality Bola Ray among them.

Although the exact time A-Plus and Akosua Vee entered into this romantic affair is not quite clear, the duo have been sweethearts long enough that it is no news to the public, especially Ghanaians.

Kwame Asare Obeng, aka, A-Plus is a hiplife musician and known contentious social and political critic. A-Plus is also said to be a comedian but his comics are usually satirical so he should rather be called a satirist.
He came to the limelight following his songs before, during and after Ghana’s 2000 general elections; with the “Freedom of Speech” album being the hit. A-Plus specifically used the Mesuro Mpo Na Merekeka Yi O track in the album to lash out severe strokes at politicians. His other albums include Freedom of Speech II (2001), Letter to Parliament (2007) which appears to be the most controversial so far.
In recent times, he almost became a pain in the rectum of now opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). In a video gone viral, the rapper had harshly criticized former President John Mahama, calling him the most greedy politician he has ever seen.
Violet Bannerman Quaye aka Akosua Vee on her own part, is a personal stylist and fashion blogger. She has styled many prominent persons including CEO of Atitiriw Magazine, Kafui Danku and NPP’s Deputy Communications Director. Akosua Vee was TV3’s Ghana Most Beautiful 2016 Chaperone.
During her 29th birthday party on 10th April, 2016, Akosua had wished herself a marriage in four months time, leaving his then boyfriend A-Plus speechless. Well now, her wishes have come true and according to her, “It was everything she dreamt of, and can’t express her joy in words”.
