The Sefwiman Development Alliance (SEDA) – a community organization has commended the Chief of Sefwi Elluokrom, Nana Ahwoi Payin I for allocating 40 acres of land to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be used to build a factory in the town under the one-district, one-factory project.
Earlier, the Chief of Sefwi Awiokrom Nana Ahwoi Payin I has reportedly allotted 40 acres of land to help the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to implement the one-district, one-factory policy within Sefwiman – as contained in the party’s campaign and manifesto.
As an association that is concerned about the development of people, SEDA said, the Chief’s gesture was one that Chiefs in other towns and regions in Ghana must emulate in order to bring development in the country to the benefit of the citizens.
However, the association in a statement, has called on the NPP-led government to honour its promise by using the land for the intended purpose and also see the Chief’s initiative as call to place the town – Sefwi Elluokrom ahead of other towns in the country.
The NPP promised to build a factory in all 216 districts in the country. These factories, according to the Akufo-Addo led administration will help provide jobs for the teaming unemployed youth, industrialize and transform the Ghanaian economy.

SEFWIMAN DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE (SEDA) COMMENDS THE CHIEF OF ELUOKROM NANA AHWOI PAYIN FOR ALLOCATING 40 ACRES OF LAND IN ADVANCE FOR H. E PRESIDENT NANA AKUFFO ADDO ONE DISTRICT ONE FACTORY POLICY AND FURTHER CALLS ON THE REST OF THE CHIEFS ACROSS SEFWIMAN TO FOLLOW SUITE
The Sefwiman Development Alliance-SEDA wants to express its appreciation and greatest commendation to the Chief of Eluokrom,Nana Ahwoi Payin for allocating 40 acres of land in advance for H.E President Akufo-Addo one district one factory policy.
SEDA wants to further entreat all the chiefs across Sefwiman to follow suite and provide land in advance across the various district in awaiting for H.E President Akufo-Addo One district One factory policy. As an association concern with the speedy growth and development of Sefwiman,we are of the opinion that the Early bird catches the worm and we believe that such proactive actions from our traditional leaders will place Sefwiman ahead of the other places.
As an association that has our people development at heart, we are not oblivious of how bereft our Sefwiman is when it comes to factories and industries amidst the Gold, timber ,cocoa, cash and food crops that’s being transported daily to feed different films elsewhere in Ghana and the world.
This has not only rendered most of our indigenes jobless but it has also ripped our land of the accompanying benefit that comes when an industry is set up in your area.
As an association, we are therefore commending Nana Ahwoi Payne and pleading with the rest of the chief to follow the path set because that’s the only way to signal our readiness to the national leaders about our preparedness towards any national project
