The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Savelugu Constituency, Abdul Samed Gunu, has promised to facilitate the construction of two technical Senior High Schools during his first tenure of office.
The schools are to be located at Diare and Moglaa, two major communities’ in the Savelugu district.
Mr. Samed Gunu unveiled his development agenda in a Citi News interview during the inauguration of the Savelugu central Mosque sponsored by the government of Saudi Kingdom.
He reaffirmed his commitment to boost the area’s human resource base through circular education.
He mentioned health as one of his topmost priorities for which reason the Savelugu District hospital will be given a mjaor facelift.
He said six boreholes have already been constructed in communities that lacked clean water.
Mr. Samed Gunu pledged to transform the main Savelugu market into a modern one.
He said additional satellite markets will be built in some selected communities to enhance trade.
Mr. Samed Gunu vowed to fulfill all his campaign promises in tandem with the NPP’s 2016 manifesto, to retain the seat at the 2020 general elections.
He thereby appealed to his constituents to deepen their peaceful co-existence as means of attracting investors to the area.
He commended the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for building the ultra modern Mosque in the area.
