Information reaching Today indicates that residents of Domeabra in Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region were subjected to a night robbery cases, a couple of weeks ago.
The operations, which lasted for three hours, saw the robbers make away with various sums of money, mobile phones, laptops, among other belongings of their victims.
Narrating the ordeal to some journalists in Accra, Assemblyman for Gbemomo/Domeabra Electoral Area in the Ga South Municipality, Hon. Bartholomew Gadeseh, said the residents are currently living in fear and panic as dare-devil armed robbers run riot in the area with impunity, robbing various households at will.
According to him, even though the residents had reported the incidents of the recent robbery attacks to the police, the attacks were incessant and continued on daily basis.
Against this backdrop Hon. Gadeseh appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. David Asante-Appeatu, to come to their aid by way of providing a police station at Domeabra.
“Our lives are in serious danger so we are appealing to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. David Asante-Apeatu, to immediately come to our aid in providing a police station,” he appealed.
“Domeabra is under Ngleshie Amanfrom Divisional Police Command but our challenge is when there is a crime before the police will travel all the way from Amanfrom to Domeabra the suspects must have ran away,” he explained.
