Reverend Dr Frederick Primrose Deegbe, the Former Secretary General of Christian Council, has commended the Chiropractic and Wellness Centres (CWC), a multi-faceted alternative health hub in Accra for providing quality chiropractic care in the country.
Dr Fredrick Deegbe made the commendations in a sideline interview with the media when the CWC launched its maiden public chiropractic sensitisation project aimed at educating the public on the relevance of chiropractic health care.
According to Rev. Deegbe, who is also the senior pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, Ghana, the CWC continued to provide “top class” services which met international standards making it the best among competitors.
He said the Centres had the most sophisticated technology that had the capacity to perform all necessary diagnosis and manipulative treatment on bone joints which he stated, was good for natural treatment of many health complications.
“You know aging comes with complications…I have had a few treatments here and I went back feeling a little better. I have also seen a lot of people here which makes me ask myself if this place is secret,” he said.
He added that though chiropractic treatments may be perceived as expensive it was better than having poor health.
Rev Deegbe recommended the CWC to the public saying good chiropractic treatments protect people from contracting many ailments.
Meanwhile, Mr Philip F. Reimmer, the Operations Manager of the CWC said the sensitisation project which would be carried out on the last Saturday of every month would kick off in Accra on February 28.
“We have invited Bernice Offei, a renowned gospel artiste to grace the occasion, he said.
He said the project formed part of the organisation’s efforts to ensure that the public had the best of health so as to contribute to government’s efforts boosting human capital for national development.
According to him, most Ghanaians were not well-informed about the numerous relevance of chiropractic health care which he believed was a disservice to their health explaining that chiropractic care had the ability to relief people of many health complications.
Chiropractic care is a system of complementary medicine which focuses on the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of misalignments of the joints, especially those of the spinal column, which are believed to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs.
Health experts say it could relief people from pain, headaches infections, neck pain, arthritis, joint pain, scoliosis, asthma, blood pressure, surgery prevention as well as aiding in sustaining a healthy pregnancy.
CWC centres are at East Legon and Asylum Down in Accra, Asokwa in Kumasi, Airport Ridge in Takoradi and at the campus of the university of Cape Coast.
