Information reaching rainbowradioonline.com has it that the 2016 parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the opposition Progressive People’s Party (PPP), for the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro constituency Rev. Fred Adjetey Larbie likely to be appointed the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga South.
A crunch meeting according to our source was held on Friday on the choice of MCE for the area. Residents are rooting for an indigene who will serve their interest. According to them, they will not approve of any other candidate for the position if that individual is not a true indigene of a Ga-Dangbe.
Rev. Larbi before contesting on the ticket of the PPP was a member of the ruling NPP but crossed carpet to represent the Dr. Nduom led party. Deep throat sources say, Rev. Larbi appears to be the favourite among other candidates because the residents see him as an indigene and a grass root person. The source said, Rev. Larbi is likely to be appointed.
Rev. Larbi is said to have presented his Curriculum Vitae (CV) for consideration. The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was scheduled to name the various Municipal Metropolitan Chief Executives (MMDCEs) on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at the Flagstaff House.However, the list has not yet come out and the general are anxious to know the luck ones who would be assigned or appointed.
