A 62-year-old retired Teacher has been found dead in her room at Adweso in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern region.
The body of the retired teacher identified as Madam Juliet Breman was found in a decomposing state after the strong stench emitting from her room raised suspicion.
The deceased stayed alone in her Self -Contained house. Her only son works at Kumasi.
Kasapa News Eastern regional Correspondent, Kojo Ansah reports that, the Assembly member for Adweso Electoral area Hon. Sowah Fumey who is in the same neighborhood with the deceased reported to Police over unpleasant and strange stench in the area adding that the deceased who occupied a house close to him has not been seen for the past one week raising suspicion.
Police officers from Adweso district led by Detective Sergeant Eunice Ankrah proceeded to the scene.
The door of the deceased was forced opened and her decomposed body was found in a supine position on her corridor.
After taking inventories of the scene, the decomposing body was wrapped in a polythene bag and deposited at St. Josephs Hospital.
The Police had a tough time conveying the decomposing body due to lack of adequate logistics to undertake such activities.
The cause of the death of the deceased is not known but the police does not suspect any foul play. Meanwhile investigation into the matter has commenced.
