Dr Nduom says despite his disqualification, he will continue to campaign.
The flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has charged state institutions to respect the rights of Ghanaian citizens.
His comment follows the ruling of an Accra High Court on the suit against the Electoral Commission challenging his disqualification.
Addressing the media at the party’s headquarters in Accra on Friday after the ruling of the court, Dr. Nduom noted it is important for persons in charge of state institutions to understand that they were put there to carry out the dictates of the laws that set them up.
“It is important for those people to understand and believe that human beings and are not there not their own purpose but to do the biding of the law and the people”.
He further indicated that the Progressive People’s Party is ready with everything needed to correct the errors on his nomination forms.
According to him, the corrections that they are required to make will take barely hours to be completed, noting they could have used two hours to clear the errors if the Electoral Commission had given them the opportunity as earlier requested.
