Print Your Own Money and Put Your Head On It – Kabila Fires Agyapong

A leading member of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfe says he has had enough of outspoken New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central Member of Parliament.

According to him, it takes only ‘braggarts’ like Kennedy Agyapong to announce his wealth in public.

His comment is in reaction to the Assin Central MP’s constant bravado that he single-handedly financed the NPP’s electioneering campaign in the 2016 general elections.

Ken Agyapong was peeved after members of Kumasi-based vigilante group were arrested following their attacks on the Ashanti Regional Security Council nominee, George Adjei.

The Assin Central MP vowed he would lead a massive demonstration against the government if the boys are jailed because they contributed immensely to the NPP’s electoral victory last year.

He Ken Agyapong, however, made a U-turn when the vigilante group stormed the Kumasi High Court and freed their colleagues who were standing trial for assaulting the Regional Security Coordinator.

But James Kwabena Bomfe on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday said the MP is to blame for the ‘nonsensical’ action of the Delta Force.

He noted that, if the outspoken MP had not threatened a protest, the boys would not have been emboldened to storm the law court to set their friends free.

Kabila is he is popularly called reminded the Assin Central MP that other people equally contributed monies to the NPP’s campaign thus cannot claim credit for the party’s success.

To prove to the world that he is very wealthy, Kabila urged Ken Agyapong to “print his own money and put his head on it” rather than bragging over nothing.
