President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to deliver his final State of the Nation’s address to Parliament next Thursday, December 22, 2016.
It will also be the last address by a head of state to the Sixth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
The address will also end sitting for the week as Parliament gets ready to be dissolved.
After rising on Thursday, Members will reconvene on January 6 for immediate dissolution as the Seventh Parliament begins sitting on January 7.
Already, Members to constitute the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic have been called upon to begin registration.
The registration begins on Monday, December 19 and ends on Friday, December 23.
The Seventh Parliament at its inaugural sitting will elect a Speaker and the two deputies.
