President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Eric Nana Agyeman-Prempeh as the acting Director General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).
The letter of appointment read: “Pursuant to section 17(1) of the National Disaster Management Organisation Act 2016 (Act 927), I hereby appoint you to act as the Director General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing council of the Organisation, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.”
Meanwhile, the President has also appointed the former National Youth Organiser of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Abu Ramadan as an acting Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster and Management Organisation (NADMO).
His appointment was in pursuant to Section 20 (1) of the National Disaster and Management Organisation Act, (Act 927).
Mr Ramadan will per the appointment serve in an acting position “pending receipt of constitutionally required advice of the governing council of the organisation, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.”
