News anchor and co-host of ‘Yen Nsem Pa’ morning show on Onua FM, Nana Yaw Opare has joined host of identifiable groups and individuals calling on President Akufo-Addo to make good, promises he made during the 2016 elections.
Yaw Opare underscored: “Nana Addo’s government cannot, will not and must not disappoint Ghanaians. He has six potential presidents in his government, so if he does not live any legacy I will be disappointed and people in my village New Jejeti shall also be disappointed.”
Trade and Industry Minister John Alan Kwodwo Kyerematen, Minister for Railways and former Second Deputy Speaker Joe Ghartey, and Minister for Regional Reorganization and Development and MP for Okere Dan Kweku Botwe, Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, Senior Minister Yaw Osarfo Marfo and Dr Frimpong Boateng all contested and exhibited potential to lead the country on the ticket of the NPP.
Nana Yaw Opare maintained that “the NPP touted they have the men and Ghanaians can see the men, some of whom contested him (Nana) to be at his position and these people we know are high ranking in our society with a lot of experience in governance, so why won’t this government perform.”
The radio host asserted, “I am saying that Dr Bawumia our current Vice President has made us know that they have what it takes to turn this country round, Asempa [referring to regular host of Yen Nsempa], this is the time they should show us that they did not just talk but can walk the talk. Ghanaians are waiting and watching, if this government fails, with all these people, they have no excuse my brother. The promises must be fulfilled,”
